Welcome to the site!

Tell us more about your CVO. I'm running the Fulsac system. X pipe & 2" muffler cores. Great performance & sound & yes it cools down the heat from the exhaust!

I'm running Vance N Hines Power Dual Header Pipe and Rinehart 4" duals.  Nice sound, not to loud under normal riding but will bark when I get on it.  My bike makes great power with this set up.  I also like the look of the headpipe.  Very well made.

My last bike had a D&D Fat Cat 2 in to 1.  That seems to be the pipe of choice for power and TQ, that's why I went with it.  I just never feel in love with the sound.  It was all bark and no rumble, if that makes any sense.

Was there a factor to choosing the Vance & Hines Dual header over the Reinhart header

I ran Rineharts full duals on my 2007 and my 2010.  Very happy with them, especially if sound has an edge over performance as far as importance.  After several considerations, I decided to keep the 2/1/2 engineering on my 2011 and go with the Fullsac stage 1 system.  I have the 2.25 baffles, I removed the insulation and they sound nice. Not as loud as the Rineharts but they perform better and still sound great.  Lots of choices, best thing to do is hang out at a HD dealership on  a Saturday or Sunday and listen for the sound your looking for.  If its all about performance, then hands down, go with a 2/1 system and Rinehart has a pretty good 2/1 system too.  Good Luck!

If you are referring to Rinehart True Dual then yes there would a reason to go with the V&H.  The V&H head pipe has a crossover in it with help scavenge exhaust.  The true dual does not have this feature. I'm not sure how much this really helps on a motorcycle but I run a Dr Gas X pipe system on my 68 Cuda and the car is a 10th faster with the exhaust over open headers.  It's a 10.60 car so that says a lot.

I believe the true duals will give you a lumpier sound if that's what you want.  I personally don't care for the looks Headpipes) of the Rinehart true duals on the 09 and up.

Welcome to the site from Tennessee! Lots of pipe choices around here. I'm using 2.25" Fullsac cores in stock cans with non-cat headpipe.

I chose the V & H Dresser Duals (true duals) with V & H Monster Rounds - fantastic sound, great performance and there is much less heat without the cat!  You'll find many different opinions on this site - none of them wrong - it all comes down to personal preference.

When I bought my '08 CVO Ultra I had Rinehart True Duals installed before delivery.  I conjunction with the SE Race Tuner, great sound, improved performance ahd reduced heat.  Only issue is discoloration.  Congrats on the CVO.

I have an 08 SEUC...put Rinehart True Duals and you will be happy with the performance and sound. If
you do some investigating you will find Rineharts make the most power etc. Seem to be matched to the
cruisers the best. Get the chrome tips too. Worth the look. Get the True Duals and be done with it.
