REmote Pager Receiver II
« on: July 15, 2006, 04:21:24 PM »

Part # 91660-06

Just picked this up today and of course I'm having trouble programing it! The Pager Goes into setup Fine, When I press (Arm the Bike system press and hold the key fob) The Pager never beeps four times, just times out. I've throw it in the trash can for today and guess I will try it again latter or if someone here has had the same trouble and found out what simple step I've left out, Please help me.

Trouble shooting guide only says" User to replace battery's- all other issues see the damn dealer)

Did you also get the Siren II transmitter 68328-06 ?  If not I think the 06 bikes only came with the Smart Siren and not the Smart Siren II.  So you don't have a transmitter to "talk" to your reciever.  That would account for it timing it out too.

They're a matched set so you might still need the other half of the combo.

Well That would make a Huge Difference, I and the counter guy were going on ass out of you and me (Assumption)  Although you would think that a CVO  would be so equiped also the selling dealer told me all I had to do was buy the Pager a it would work- I will check that out thanks for your prompt response.

Not sure about this VA but I think I remember the Siren II coming out just after the 06 models were released.  So when the bikes were new the "Siren I" (got to call it something?) wasn't available yet.

That's a common mistake for the counter guys though.  All the literature and myth surrounding the CVO bikes suggests they have "everything."  Yeah, right.

If you had the Siren II transmitter stock on the bike though it'd be a sure bet the Siren II receiver would have come with it.  Just re-read the spec sheet for the Ultras and it says "Smart Siren" so that's for sure what you've got going on.

The alarm module is easy to change though and (fortunately) not too expensive.  Recoup some cost for the stock module by putting it on eBay and you're good to go.  The Siren II thing is nice if you travel on the bike much.  Comforting to know you can be inside the hotel room at night and the bike will actually let you know if anyone is screwing with it.

You guys are right on the money!
I replaced my Smart Siren with a Smart Siren II so I could use the pager option.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

My paper work that came with the bike suggest that its born day was april o6, I'm not in the recall  so I assume its a later made model 06 that I have. I just ordered the Smart II and I again assume that if they will ship it to me I cam just swap it out? So it does not have to be dealer installed.

I read the spec sheet and Couldn't find any info about Siren on the 06 maybe updated for 07? I printed the 06 info off before yesterday :)

Thanks you Twolander & Se_Ultra for your Help any more info on where to find the siren on the bike, I'm still missing the Shop manual got the other two that one is still on back order.

The instruction that come with it should be all you need. The alarm is located behind the right side cover. It is a real easy job. If you need help I can walk you through it.

Buy a new one. Almost the very second I buy a new one, I find the old one...works every time!

That is exactly the same thing I'd been thinking.  Cause sure as the world as soon as I walk in with the new one I'll see the old one.

Wait... maybe it's in the other tour pak hanging on the wall?  I don't think so.  But haven't looked there either.
