Metzeler Tires - Made in Brazil now?
« on: February 24, 2012, 07:59:04 PM »

Sure was shocked to see my new Metz tires were made in Brazil.  I sure thought the last sets I bought were made in Germany.  Has Metz moved all production to Brazil ??

They have factories in both Germany and Brazil.

The Brazil-made Metzelers had issues a few years ago with tread separation. I would assume they worked that all out, but I really don't know. I had Brazil-made ME 880 Marathons on my old Evo FLHTP for awhile, but eventually replaced them with H-D Dunlop whitewalls. I thought the Dunlops actually handled better than the ME880s on that bike.
