Good to see pics of the Ultras. Thanks. I'm hoping they are more impressive in person because what I'm seeing now is a paint scheme with no imagination or pizzaz. Maybe this is all good news for me though because I won't get a case of Iwant, Iwant.  ;D

Don thanks to you and Marty for supplying and posting the pictures of the Ultra’s.

After seeing these the paint scheme still doesn't grab me as something I'd have to have. I can see in the Black and Orange that the Orange seems to be a pearl color. Like my bike when light/sunlight hit it, it seems to be not as dark of a color due to the pearl coming through. For the graphics I think they are a little simplistic. Even though flames have been around for years I still think that they set a bike off, especially one that is being marketed as your best/fastest/top of the line scooter.

I'd like to see the tank badge better, but first impression to me is it shouldn't be there. To me tank badges are more of a nostalgic look, and this bike is representing everything that is new and innovative that the MoCo has to offer for 2007.

Hopefully as Don stated the highway pegs would not be mounted when bikes arrive, and dealers wait and let owners put them on, or put them on after bike has been purchased. We all know how things are set up for the "average" rider's height/weight/etc. and those dimensions are few and far between from the majority of us that ride.

I talked with my dealer Saturday and the manager said he had gotten several calls on various new cvo's that morning.  I doubt very seriously that there will be very many in the show rooms for long perhaps the blue combination like the green that I saw at two local dealers early last year.  One dealer had the green on the floor for more than 3 weeks before it was sold - never saw a SEEG or other Ultra on the floor though.

My thoughts on the bike go way beyond the paint scheme, I agree that they are a bit weak when compared to the SEEG & even 06 Ultra but that aside this is a totally new bike a huge leap forward in the line from the original touring CVO Road Glide.  Other than paint and engine & chrome change in 04, the 04, 05 & 06 have all been the same bike with the Ultra incorporating a new radio and leather tour pack.  That is why I was not interested in the 06 as there was not enough difference between it and the 04 I own.  But this 07 is totally different, new motor, new motor color, new trans, new chrome control design which is worth it alone not to mention the Nav system, adjustable passenger floor boards & luggage locks, etc.!

It is hard for me to  compare the 07 to anything before because it is such an upgrade.  Because its a CVO I have to believe that the paint will turn heads but thats not why I buy a bike, I do so to ride & perform & I think this one is set up for just that!!

Besides that, this bike has incorporated many of the things many of you have talked about on this board as an upgrade or wish  that HD had or would incorporate????

Don't want to offend but I have the same feeling now I had when the 06 pictures came out. I was waiting for the 06's, saw the pix, then ran and bought an 05 SEEG. I like the new extras but with my 05 SEEG done just the way I want it, I think I must just wait another year and keep my beautiful banana.
I really would like the 07 blk / orange alot better with gold instead of the orange, like the 03 SED. Wow, I like that idea, buy the 07 SEUC and repaint to match the 03 SE's. I need to stop these damn voices in my head, the cost me too much.

It's always hard to tell what they really look like just from the HD site.  These pics actually show the Black and Orange to be more Black and Yellow!  I will be anxious to see in person.  I am glad to see that they have gone to the bigger engine, 6-speed, and black engine.  Since I already added a 6-speed, and had my 'o6 CUSE dyno'd, I guess I'm very happy with what I got.   [smiley=banana.gif]  Also looks like they figured out that most everybody wanted highway pegs and a windshield that actually worked. Thanks for posting the pics.

I think the colors will have to be seen in person for my final opinion.

Not trying to sound negative but,  the tank emblem looks like it was kinda thrown on as an after thought . (?)     Glad to see the 6 speed tranny finally made it.  (been saving my $$$ for a 6 spd on my bike) ;)
At least it appears HD is making an effort to make the 07 models not just a simple color change from the 06's.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Hope as the new bikes get delivered,  we can see more pics posted.

I had that same feeling. I posted earlier how it didn't look right on that bike and at the time I didn't realize that the '06's had badges/emblems on the tank. I think on the '06's the badge is a lot less obtrusive, and flows/accents the paint. As you stated this badge/emblem seems to be just stuck on there for the purpose of saying one is on there. Dood...gonna' have to agree with you and the others...the tank badge just doesn't look right on the '07...maybe better in person.

Don't you go talkin' about the badge on my '06 though  >:(...that is one of the things I really liked when I first laid eyes on one back in February...I think it complements the paint (like you said), and looks pretty cool too. 8-)

And of course, the script on the Pumkin is excellent as well.

Nope, not going to talk about the emblem if anything compliment on how it blends in. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I hadn't realized it was there on the '06's because it flows w/graphics so well until I had commented about the '07's emblem and I was looking at some pictures of an '06 I realized they had them also. :o

Thanks a lot for the pics but until we see the bikes in person you can't figure out what looks good. I can't believe the MoCo does not post multiple natural light photos of these bikes showing all angles. How hard can that be? I just left my dealer and he has my $500 check. I am on the top of his list. I get to say yah or nah on the bikes as colors come in. This is ridiculous! Why can't I just go online see the colors and tell him which one I want? As far as the tank emblem goes I am not thrilled with it either. As a matter of fact I would rather have a silver motor too but I can't. If the emblem is not screwed to tank a can off Goof Off and some dental floss will eliminate it in 30 seconds.
