New SESG Radio Operation ?'s
« on: March 03, 2012, 10:25:27 AM »

I guess I am really getting old now and it sucks! I have a new SESG and I am having problems getting the radio to do what I want. Actually, I'm having problems with the Ipod. To compound things, I'm new to that also.
I have songs loaded on the ipod and it does work but I can only get it to play songs in random. I would like it to just go down the play list and/or play by artist. I've tried everything, even reading the owners manual!
Would someone give me the simple "ipods for dummies" how to?
Thanks!

On my Nano just hit songs and it will bring up the list of all songs then hit the first song and it will play them in order down the list. If you hit artists then scroll to the artist you want hit all songs then go to the first song and it will play in order. I dont know how to do it through the HK radio as I dont have my new bike yet so hope this helps.

To get it to play through the radio you have 2 options.

First and cheapest is to just buy a 3.5mm Stereo Male to 3.5mm Stereo Male cable about 3' long and plug the IPod into the Auxiliary Input port on the radio.

Second and most expensive is to buy the Harley IPod Interface Module, I do not have the part # but you can find it easy with Google. $$$

Thanks, Jim It already has the ipod interface. It just seems to only play random no matter what I set it for.

I have seen this too.  I actually uninstalled all my playlists and just have my motorcycle tunes loaded - In shuffle, anything on the IPOD was fair game.

Seems the endless IPOD issues continue.  When mine really acts up, I cycle through the modes AM/FM/WB etc...back to the IPOD until it snychs correctly.

So if I take the artists part out somehow, it will play down the list without "shuffling"?

I haven't tried that - I was referring more to jumping accross playlists and playing whatever song it wanted.

Technology is for the youngsters.  Give that ipod to your grandkids.......and your smart phone, too.  I saw a sale the other day on replica rotary dial phones. :huepfenlol2:
