Get your "Motor Running Head", out on the highway!

What we've got here is... failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it... well, he gets it. I don't like it any more than you men

And 4 you Marty

The Devils Hwy, 666.  Today called Hwy 191

I'm flying into Mesa March 23rd, going to ride the Devil's highway from Clifton north up to Springerville.
The anticipation is killing me!

Marty, I don't recall seeing any martians out there when we rode through there last year. :nixweiss:

You need to check the weather & see if 191 is open.  It may be AZ, but it is 9400' and it's winter.  There is a big storm coming in this week.  My bet would be the road is closed for the winter.  I know, a bubble burster, but is is 9400' in the White mountains.

I know, that's why I'm attempting to start from the south where it should be warmer, and head north.
I'd rather try it a month or two from now, but my work schedule is forcing me to do it "now or never".
I found online road conditions at az511.com, are there any other suggestions for AZ road/weather conditions?
Thanks

You could always call Hannigans Meadow Lodge  http://www.hannaganmeadow.com/  They should be able to give you the straight scoop.  They are located at 9340' at the N end of 191, 22 miles south of Springerville.
