I always thought we (ok, not me of course, but all the rest of you!) were the biggest rumor mongering dipchits waiting with baited breath for the next newest upcoming can't wait to have it variation on a theme that Harley felt like offering.  But I was wrong!  We're not!  Really; it's true.

My niece asked me last night if I would "look at what the new iPad is going to be."  So being the diligent Uncle I did.  These cranks following every wisp of foul air coming from the butt crack of Apple not only have nothing on us.  They leave us in the dust.  Their press is more rabid (and every bit as lame in a surprising number of cases) and their fan base is every bit as idiotic. 

Those folks are nuts.  And they don't even have a pool boy ??? .

I heard that the throwback (throwup?) "72" model could be fitted with an accessory vintage pay toilet lock that hitchhikers must use for access.

Technology hounds can't resist.  They will also buy the first run, first generation of that model, and will talk out both sides of their arse complaining about the bugs, and bragging how awesome it is to have one.  I imagine you will find a line of the pretentious individuals lining up days ahead of time to grab one.  Once they have it, they will mozy down to Starbucks to show off their new toy to anyone who will listen. 

But hey, we do the same with our CVO's......who's the coolest kid on the block now!

TRUE CONFESSION (as opposed to a FALSE one...): I have it coming and going... I have the Harley thing AND the Apple thing! But I've been doing my best to IGNORE the iPad 3 rumor mill. I think I'll just buy AAPL instead!

Our Apple-fication proceeded in this order (wife gets the hand-me-down technology!)

* Dec '08 - 16GB iPhone 3G, 15" 4 GB MacBook Pro, Apple Airport Extreme router, and the first Apple TV
* June 09 - 64 GB iPad 1 with 3G
* Sept '10 - 32 GB iPhone 4
* Feb '11 - 8 GB 17" MacBook Pro (gave the 15" one to my wife). Bought it the day it was announced, custom order... arrived from SHANGHAI 4 days later at 10:18 AM... FedEx beat their 10:30 AM target by 12 minutes!
* June '11 - 64 GB iPad 2 with 3G (gave the iPad 1 to my wife)
* Jan '12 - 64 GB iPhone 4S (gave the 4 to my wife)

Our Harley-fication proceeded in this order:

* Feb '07 - 1995 FLHTP - "Big Bad Bertha" (sold in Jan '12)
* Aug '11 - 2012 FLHXSE3 - "Buster"
* Dec '11 - 2012 FLHTCUTG - "Beyonce"

And NO... I have no plans to buy any more Apple nor Harley products! At least until tomorrow, or Sept...   :nixweiss:

AND... I have NEVER stood in a stupid LINE to buy anything! And I never WILL...

I do share the same birthday with Steve Jobs though...  :drink:
