DO NOT let them pull your leg. I have been running a PowerCommander PCV with Vance & Hines Trues Duals and Hi-Output Slipons since about 1000 miles and had the "amp" problem at about 5000 miles. My dealer, Big St. Charles HD in MO, replaced the amp without any concern. They actually complimented me on the setup.

Check here on the site and you will find an abundance of information regarding the stereo issues. MANO is the lead on this issue by far. Outside of the replacement amp I think he's found a HD system procedure (MD-1341?????) that has something to do with reprogramming the system.

Best of luck!!

I call BULL chit on HD!!!  My amp went out at the very beginning of my 4500 mile Sturgis ride.  I was PISSED!!  My bike was bone stock.  The only non-Harley mods on the bike was me and my personal belongings.  :confused5:

Harley who?  Sure can't be H-D Corporate, because even though they have some really stupid people on the phones up there I don't think they are THAT stupid.

Modifying your ECM calibration with either of those devices has absolutely NOTHING to do with the audio system.  You need to find a more competent place to do business.

Agree.

My problems did not start till about 4000 KM on my way to New Orleans. I installed my Stage 1 Full Sac well after that. I think it was at about 13 000 KM and the problems just continued.

I've already taken in all the paper work when the issues started.four months before the TTS was installed.A service tech that travels to the Dealer ships around this area is the one that told The shop I'm dealing with this.I can put it back to stock no problem but I know it is not going to fix the problem. We already know it is not the speakers ,all replaced and came out good on the service bullitin,New amp and Radio last week ,worked good for 2 days now cutting out on the right side and my 3rd amp which is half as loud as the other 2,must of changed the wattage ,Should of ran a db test before the change.lol

I was told but cannot confirm that the amp has different settings that can be adjusted by the mechanics in the set up processes. Maybe yours was turned down and/or you can ask the to turn it back up.

I raised the same issue the other day with the new dealership/mechanic working on my bike now. I told him how when cranked up (before the problems started) you could actually feel the ground vibrating in your legs when standing next to it. He then told me about this setting.

Once the next amp goes in i will be able to tell if it as loud as it used to be. I just have to wait till next week.
