Well, well, well. I just discovered why my bike started leaking at 55 miles. It now has about 100 more but has been leaking since the first time I took it out for its first good run. Leaked about a 1/2 pint the first time I saw it and I immediately tightened the screws and slowed it up. Made me wonder after draining the primary and pulling the cover if things like this plagued Harley back in the 70s and 80s? By the picture, it told me that when it was assembled the gasket wasn't aligned properly to begin with, and whoever just went ahead and torqued it up. Just not paying attention....... And when I contacted my selling dealer, he said he'd get me a gasket right out and it was about 10 days later, of course he sent me the wrong gasket....I had specified the proper # but guess he knew better. In the end he overnighted me the right one. but not a drop of oil..... Contacted the dealership owner and haven't heard back from him either. I'm doing all my own maintenance that I can from this point. Even the 1000 mile check. the Porkster.
