Owned my own custom trailer business back in the 90's and selling out to move house was a big decision.
Although I still have most of the equipment and planned on building the trailer last year but due to work shop room decided to look for somebody that would work with me to complete the project.
After being knocked back by all the local businesses within an hour of home I was about to give up. Anything that was not a standard build was to hard for them, even though I had all the engineering drawings.
Never the less I designed the trailer using a CAD package (Autodesk Inventor) in a few days. Coming up with several concepts I decided on a dual axle hard top trailer with an aerodynamic cone.
That was the easiest to build without any special machinery or sourcing any special corner trims.
Next project is to have some art work (not to much just some pin stripping) followed by storage cabinets. Black with orange doors.
I'll post a few more pictures when I have the ramp completed.
porthole, axles are leaf spring with electric brakes.
CAD model before build.
