No sound on Computer
« on: March 12, 2012, 05:45:54 PM »

Recently turned on a computer That I hadn't used since I had Bestbuy upgrade fom Vista to Windows 7.  Worked fine for about 5 minutes, then I got a message saying my copy of Windows7 was genuine.  And sound quit working on computer.  Was working until this point.  Finally got Windows7 authoization code punched in and had 45 updates.  Computer runs fine now, but still no sound.  Volume is turned all the way up, and it is not muted.  Any ideas where sound went?  Thanks

You probably need to find a Windows 7 driver for your sound.  You can try looking in Device Manager.  The sound will probably show a triangle if it needs a driver.  It could also be just muted or turned down low.  Look in the lower right corner of your screen for a speaker icon.  Click on it and look for the slider position or a check in the mute box.
