« on: March 12, 2012, 11:17:19 PM »

One of my speakers in the lower is kaput. Should i have hd replace it or upgrade? Is there a plug and play speaker for this system? I dont really want to change it all at this point.
Thanks :orange: :bananarock:

As I wrote earlier in a different thread, the stock lower fairing speakers are as useless as tits on a boar.  Very, very poorly performing setup.

Just an idea.  Hawg Wired has a new subwoofer system that goes in the lowers.  I'm going to get them as soon as possible.  The bass on the stock system is pitiful.   :soapbox:

If I remember correctly, you've done a ton of nice work on your bike.  What's another $475?   :-X

I hear these speakers are 1 ohm.  Might narrow down choices uless amp is changed.   I agree.  The lowers don't seem to do a whole lot  :nixweiss:

Van, for what it is worth, I had the HW speakers and amps for my lowers.
Found the glove box to be a better option and removed them.

Sorry, Van.  The system I was thinking about last night is actually a Hogtunes woofer, not Hawg wired subwoofer.  Also found the set up for $350 online.  What a bargain  :-\  Will buy it today and report on the results when they are installed.
