Has anyone done business with Cycle-Parts.com?
« on: March 15, 2012, 09:44:15 AM »

Has anyone donew business with http://www.cycle-parts.com    ?
They appear to have some older parts for my 03 SERK (FLHRSEI2).
The prices seem very reasonable as well.

At the moment just a tiny bit leery.

Interested in anyone that has done business with them.

Many Thanks

I noticed their website has no phone number or address info - the only way to contact them is by email.  This may be a good company, but I have to wonder why they wouldn't list an address and phone #.  I had a bad experience with another on-line company (directharleyparts.com) that had a similar website.  Unless someone posts some positive experiences with Cycle-Parts.com, I'd pass.  BTW, I also searched for on-line reviews and found none.

Thank you for that information.
I sent and e-mail asking about parts they had listed. They responded that they had discontinued those.
Seems like maybe not the best place to do business.

Rule of Thumb...  If a on-line company does not list a phone number and/or address, I stay away from them....

For a company that claims to have been around since 1995, it doesn't appear anyone is familiar with them.  Of course, for all we know that may be due to the fact they started out with and seem to concentrate on Japanese bikes.  Anyhow, I'll add my  :nixweiss: to the discussion; never heard of them until this thread.

btw, I'm not speaking for them, but I thought you might like to know there are some answers to certain questions listed on their "Help" page.  For instance, the following was copied from that page:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Can I call Cycle-Parts.com for help?

Absolutely. Our toll-free number is 1-877-578-1371.

Don't mean to steer away from the original post but Direct Harley Parts has been taken over by new people and are doing good business and are a sponsor on the Roadglide.org website. I've emailed them on occasion and have received prompt reply. There is a Frank that is on the order desk but it is not the same Frank that some may have dealt with before, just clarifying. I think they have really turned things around with regards to service, you can read from those that are dealing with them right now on the Roadglide.org website.

Direct Harley Parts???    just the name gives me another headache and unwanted memories of dealing with them over an order that took 6 months and double charges on credit cards... God could take them over and i'll still pass...
