Has anyone else had trouble with their XM not playing from day 1, with a "check antenna" message in the display?

Take the outer fairing off and check the wire connection to the back of the XM. I also put the antenna on the left speaker with velcro. Hope this helps.

I agree. Sounds like the antenna is not plugged in to the radio. Did not have this problem but when my RUSE was six or seven months old I got on it one morning and the speakers were dead. Thought the radio had gone out but later hooked up a headset and radio was working. Turns out the connector from the speakers to the radio had come loose (unplugged). Obviously not fully seated/mated from the factory. Chit does indeed happen.

Would not be a surprise at all if it was never plugged in!
