Back on Jan 30 a couple buddies and I were out riding as we could not believe our good fortune to be riding in central Illinois in the middle of winter. When we were finishing up, I went to top Lexi (Bike from Hell) off as the weather forecast was for several more good days.

I swung my leg over and notice oil on the right side of the tank

Started looking her over a little better and the right side saddlebag, my chaps and right side of the seat were equally covered

Started checking for the problem and found the front breather bolt lying in the back plate ... sorry for the dark pic

Took her apart and discovered the o ring had been chewed up against the heads. The rear breather bolt was still very snug

So while I had her apart I asked myself "What would Twolaner do?"  So I worked on the throttle body cover a bit and sent it off to Chromemaster.

Put her back together and she's all tight for now. The breather bolts just got added to my check list at oil change time.  Don't know if this is know problem with this set up but seeing this is on Lexi....anything can happen. I like how it looks with the diamond cut.

Hey Jeff looks good - now you gotta do something with those rust in the holes Allen screws!

Didn't notice until I clicked on the picture and you have that pic full size.

LOL   I had toppers in them just haven't put em back. I'm looking into stainless steel. Something to do on a rainy day.

Does look better than stock. I've seen the new offering from HD.  Too big or something for me.  Kinds Kury-looking. JMO.

Man oh man, Jeff takes his inspiration from all sorts of shady places :huepfenlol2: .

Looks nice man.  Like the one-off changes to the cover a lot.
