4" Bassanis with straight cut billet end caps.  Very nice sound and not loud.  I really like them.

I'll be running V&H High Outputs on my X-Pipe, When it finally comes in... The V&H's have a VERY deep rumble at idle but don't
seem like they'll be to loud out on the road. Hard to tell as I'm still running stock headers (cat, high heat and all)

Hey Bikerdad,
Did you install the V&H High Output yet? They look great, How do they sound compared to stock?

Hi guys, I installed V&H power Duals with Hi Output Slips Ons last year with a SERT and Dyno on a 2011 SESG.  Ran like a scalded cat and had a great sound - deep and throaty.  My mate had the slip ons without the power duals and it was close but not quite as deep in sound.
However, got caught for noise and non standard pipes by the cops (tough here in Aus) and have now re-installed the HD pipes with 2 inch Fullsac cores.  Sounds a little quieter and not quite as deep, but I am hoping will be much the same reference tune and set up. Would anyone recommend another Dyno to set the bike up or run it as is?  After all, they are both essentially straight through pipes from the power duals back. :nixweiss:

Keep a copy of the current calibration and get a new one made for your "new" setup.  They're enough different that you'll benefit.

Got the X-Pipe installed and the sound is excellent. Tried it with the wrapping off (the V&H High Outputs) but it sounded to hollow put the wrapping back in and the thing roars when you crank it but is relatively mellow on the road. Power is excellent, bike is much snappier than it was with the cat pipe on it. Just now reaching the 1K mark so I'll have to give some consideration to a tuner pretty soon, thinking about SEPST but I haven't talked to the local dealer (that will have to handle any warranty considerations) about TTS or any other tuner

Technically, the SEPST will "void warranty" just as much as any other makers' devices, so that shouldn't be a consideration.  Get the best available.

I sure wouldn't be riding around much at all with a different exhaust system on the bike and the factory ECM calibration.

YEP!!!  Just had my 2011 CVO done by Dave at Fullsac.  X-Pipe with 2" cores.  Awesome!!!!!  No reason to do anything else, and the re-cores will save you a ton of money over after-market slipons.

Fullsac 2" cores, no cat.  Put the Andrews 54 cam on my new engine build (after it blew up) and gained 15 HP by just putting in the new cam. I can really feel the added power. Funny what a suggestion (and lots of money) will do to the mind!
