I grew up down in Hopkinsville.  Had an uncle who "knew somebody".  He offered me a coffe mug of "water" one evening when I was home on leave from the Navy.  Thought I was gonna go blind :stars: :puke:

I've had a pull or two off a bottle in my lifetime, but, to me, it's more of a conversation piece. NO thanks, I'll just have a BudLite! I did take several snorts once and had a hard time standing up. And the words that came out of mouth!!

On the subject of "white lighting" I have friend that has had some for several years (+/-10) that put some peaches in it when he first got it. Talking about something really smoooooooth. Every now and then we will take out a peach and cut a piece off and eat it. Talk about a peach w/some kick. Wooooo Hoooo!!!!

Many moons ago I was a procurement officer in the USAF with the 323rd. Kept getting request for boxes of hypodermic needles from the mess office. When I finally checked on them, they had gotten a supply of fine Tennessee homemade and were injecting it into all of the fruit; oranges, lemons and all types of melons. They said it shut up all the bitching at mess from then on plus got people eating more fruit; I approved the request and started eating a lot more fruit.

Sounds like when the 61st MAC medivac guys got together with the 61st MAC mp's in DaNang for a pig roast, the mp's brought the hooch and the medics flew in the pig's from the Phillipines for the roast. :2vrolijk_21:

Just good ol' American engenuity.

That reminds me of when I was stationed at Okinawa and we went to Korea for a couple of weeks. Our Lt. brought several extra cases of C-Rats. Couldn't understand why he was bringing them until we got there and found out what they could be traded for. ;) :carrot: :orange:
