They wanted you to squeeze in is because the scenery behind you is better to look at than the people in it. You guys spread out were filling too much of the frame. I'd like to ride to the top of Mt. Washington. That's amazing that the climate can have that kind of extreme at only 6,000 ft.
I have see MT Washington several ways over the years.
My 1st visit I was 19 in my Jap sports car with my German radio listening to French radio stations.
We also rented a small plane that same weekend and flew over the presidential mountains.
I have climbed it 4 out of 5 attempts. As you can see the weather changes can be drastic.
The last time I was there I took my bike. I have some great photos that I can't get to at the moment of the ride up.
When I got a 1/2 mile from the top I was in total heavy wet fog. I could not see 2 feet in front of the bike.
I didn't realize that the road had dumped into the parking lot until I was along side a few cars.
Pretty scary!!!.
