If I understand the differences correctly, the three versions just alter the static spring pressure by altering where the pressure plate contacts and compresses the diaphragm spring.  So the 70 lowers static spring pressure 40%, the 84 about 20%, and the 92 only 7%.

Here is where the problem can come in.  The additional clamping pressure from the centrifugal system does not kick in immediately, it ramps up slowly as rpm's increase.  So at very low rpm, the 70 may allow slippage under certain conditions until the rpm's increase enough to generate higher clamping loads.  Perhaps that is what the gentleman at AIM was referring to when he said there may be issues down the road.

I suppose if one really wanted to prove out the idea that the 70 is OK for a CVO110 they could run it on a dyno and look for slippage at low to midrange rpm.  IMHO, people who ride normally and don't use WOT between idle and 2500 rpm probably won't have a problem.  Folks who hammer the stuffing out of their bike should probably stick with the 92 or even go with a complete aftermarket clutch replacement.

Thanks Jerry, I couldn't have said it better myself.  My friend that spoke with them on the phone was told the exact same thing.  If you ride "normal" and are not one of these that have to bring the front tire off the ground every time you take off, then the 70T is more than adequate.

for the folks that have it installed, have you had any slippage issues?  I dont WOT but every so often I do jump a little off the line.  Do you think that there would be an issue during those times.  I dont want to have to baby it.  Thanks

Ken can probably answer that question as I have witnessed a couple of WOT blasts by him.   :2vrolijk_21:

Did you order the 70T?  And yes, keep us posted on your results.  Thanks

Just to update everyone, I received my clutch from USA last week and today have had it fitted by a Mechanic who is now set up on his own after dealers shut down and made him redundant, he took only 40 Min's to do it and charged me a very modest £35 against £320 which my dealer wanted to charge me.Very pleased with the result, a lot easier to operate the clutch.

I agree!  This add on to my clutch has been the best addition to my scooter.  :2vrolijk_21:

Glad to hear something is out there for you guys.
I haven't noticed it or thought of needing anything.
Don't need anything myself. I'm good with it like it is.
But they say I have a good grip.

I like the grip master idea.  I don't find mine hard to operate at all.  :nixweiss:

OMG  :'(. What are they talking about?  That price is for the whole clutch!  This VP70T is just a lighter spring.  I think it cost me around $245. If you go to their web site you will find it listed.  Warning...you must look at the 88 cubic inch engines to get the VP70T because for the 103 or 110 they will not recommend the VP70, but don't let that discourage you cause the VP70 is plenty for our size engine.  There is no clutch slippage with this size spring.
