No pictures from this ride, the wife and I just needed to do a little 2 wheel therapy after having to put down one of our dogs today. After getting back from the vet, we jumped on the bike and just started riding. We had no destination in mind, the main objective was to just get our heads into the wind and try to ease the pain. We rode the back roads for a couple of hours and stopped to eat and then headed for home.
Krunch was a sweet and loving Miniature Pinscher that we rescued from the local animal shelter almost 8 years ago. We weren't quite sure how old he was when we got him since he was picked up as a stray, but they estimated him to be between 4 & 5 years old. This little guy was a lover boy and was a big time mamas boy. He started losing weight a couple of weeks ago, even though he was eating every day. Then within the last week he quit eating his dinner, but he would still eat his treats for going outside to do his business and would go crazy for his nightly treat of peanut butter. Then within the last 3-4 days he started to rapidly lose weight and quit taking treats and didn't even want his peanut butter. Yesterday he started having difficulty breathing and the wife and I made the hard decision to have him put to sleep.
I know it was the best thing for him, but I still wish my little buddy was around to share his love and bring a smile to our faces.
