Wood TW-777 Cams
« on: April 04, 2012, 08:47:46 PM »

Does anybody have any experience with TW-777 cams?  Hp and tq numbers before and after installation.  My bike has the cat removed, Fullsac 2.25 baffles, and the SERT.

Thanks, Lou

Headwork, along with those cams, and that exhaust = big broad power.

scott is right.  Without headwork this came is that much of an increase of the stock 255.  Trust me I know!  I will be considering headwork next winter.  Think you need compression of 10.25+ to make it show its true potential

JKM, are running these cams now?  If so, what kind of hp and tq numbers are you getting?

Thanks, Lou

Not scott but I would say Compression and that cam will light the fire, the heads already do a decent job as-is but if 120+hp is wanted the headwork ad a longer cam can go there too, along with pistons and a TB change.
The Tman 625-1 similar may be a tad better, with 10.3/1 and it will bolt-in the 110
The new Andrews looks decent in the 110. That cam will be broadly available soon.

Here's my dyno with the 777's, stock pistons, heads ported, stock throttle body, Thunderheader 2 into 1, big sucker air, heads milled .0040, this thing pulls hard. I'm am defintely changing exhaust to (D&D Fatcat?) and also throttle body and probably 10:5 pistons

Great numbers, what had been done to your bike for the baseline run?

Damn few plug/play cams out there, that'll beat the existing, 255 school-bus cam, for low-mid power as-is.

From what Ive read, if I were looking for a drop in cam, it would be the CR 575.
