Not the 665...just the 660.....and I'm mid-install in the garage right now.

How'd you like it?  Is the 660 the satellite radio version?

no, the 665 is the XM-version.

Most 660 work ok, some had to be exchanged after some riding time. I'm on No 2 and as long as it works it's perfect  ;)

I have a 2012 SESG w/ Zumo 665 wired to the Aux Input on the stereo because my dealer swears you can't use the Navigation Interface Module (NIM) due to some peculiarity with the SESG's wiring harness.  Doesn't seem logical--anyone out there have a different experience/opinion?!  Cheers, Moose

Your dealer is right.  And he's not.

The SESG's harness is different than the stock bikes and different in a way that makes the NIM unusable.  A little rewiring and addition to the stock harness can correct that limitation though.  Do a search on the site here and you'll find several threads dealing with the issue and illustrating the changes needed.

:2vrolijk_21:  I added the NIM to my '12 SESG.,  If your not afraid to take your new bike apart and a little wiring challenge. You wont have to use your AUX port.

Won't have to use the aux port for the GPS's nav guidance.  Will still have to use the aux port for MP3 or other audio sourced from the GPS unit.

Sooooooo TwoLaneRider, you're saying in fact even with the "re-engineering" of the wiring harness in order to listen to the XM output from the Zumo 665 it still must be plugged into the radio's Aux Input?  Cheers, Moose

That's crazy--am I the only one who thinks that is just ridiculous?!  Seem the MoCo could do better for these $30K bikes...
