I hate to be picky when a brother has had an accident, but don't you find that to be a rather sloppy duct tape job?  I would think the owner of a SEEG would be capable of a more esthetically pleasing repair.  And black or orange duct tape would have probably been a better choice also.  Oh well, I guess it just proves that not all CVO owners are as anal as most of us seem to be.

Here is a masterful Duct Tape (Speed Tape) application.

Holding together front fairing and rest of the bike. Rode from Grants Pass, Oregon to Calgary. Approximateley 800 mile last May.

Somehow, whatever caused damage to the bike, accident, bag falling off, whatever, I feel the anger in the tape application.  Perhaps why not so neat and tidy.

Even BIG DIG in Boston uses Duct Tape...

Big Dig workers were so stumped by ceiling construction in the Ted Williams Tunnel they used duct tape to temporarily secure bolts now coming loose in hundreds of areas on the $14.6 billion project, state inspection records show.

I think I will be avoiding those Boston Tunnels going forward...


Also, if we had found Steve's bag in Colorado (not that we went back and looked for it)...that is what it might have looked like...

I don't think it's anything even I could do in the polish department to help that. I think his/her only recourse is going to visit there Parts Department at dealer and place an order. What I did think about (and can't find thread now) is didn't somebody say that they had a pin failure and there bag fell off not to long ago here? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Irregardless that just hurts seeing that.

d00d, you would have done a much nicer job on the tape I am sure of it.  Maybe we go for the "d00d, Rub the Belly, Duck tape and Detail Extravaganza Extraordinaire" at MV?

That is just a cruel picture.  Gary, don't let them screw with pictures of your bike and such an ugly photoshop job as that.  Those here that love you and respect you all know you'd never use duct tape in that fashion (you'd save it for the bedroom !!).
