Kury series 7 headlight install
« on: April 13, 2012, 07:25:49 AM »

Ok, I know this is going to sound a bit odd, but I need some help here. Got home last night to find my new LED lights waiting for me. Christmas!!! I tear into them and I see that the headlight has ONE connector on it. If memory serves me correct, on the 2010 sesg the headlight has 2 connectors, one for low beam and a separate one for high beam!!   Ok what am I missing here??? Do I need a different harness or something?? Any input would be nice before I start the install this week end.   Bird

I saw that there road glide harness works. I picked mine up tonite.  There are 2 headlight connectors.  I would imagine that I will only use one and tape off the other. I wanted to have my garage door opener work   I'm gonna attempt the install tomorrow. The he part number is 70423-98.

Are you looking at the connectors directly connected to the headlight bulbs? It sounds like it....look further up the harness and you will see both wires merge into one wire with a 3 prong connector on it. That is where you unplug the stock headlight and plug the Phase 7 in.

Correct.  The two bulb headlight on the SE bike is from the accessory catalog, and it comes with the short harness with the two connectors for the separate bulbs.  That harness plugs into the regular 3 wire connector for the standard H4 single bulb headlights.  I assume you can just unplug the short harness extension and plug the single 3 wire connector directly to the Kury headlight.  You may have to remove a wire tie to unbundle some of the standard wire harness to make it reach.
