Light on leather tour pack?
« on: April 14, 2012, 05:56:20 AM »

Hi guys!
I would like to put a light on my tour pack to remove the OEM one of the rear fender (including turning signals).  Has anyone have added light on the FLHTCUSE2 leather tour pack? It should have the driving/braking and turning signal function.
If you have any ideas, pictures or link to a product it would be great!

In 2006 many of us added LED lights to the back of our Tour Pacs, most were from a company called Custom Dynamics. there are several threads about increasing the lighting to the back of those bikes.
Most used the lights to increase not replace the running, brake and turn signal lights. You might contact this company, they have great customer service and can custom build just about any light setup for you.

Here is a shot of the back of my 2006 FLHTCUSE. The white looking bar between the antennas glows red when on and also acts as a brake light.

If you talk to Custom Dynamics, they can give you the right one, which fits so that both ends are just on top of the antennae brackets.  I think the measurement was something like 15.2 inches.  This will let you sneak the wires into the TP through the bracket hole and no wiring will be visible from the outside.

It's a very easy modification to do and adds significantly to the visibilty of the rear of the bike.  Most of us only made it a run/brake light though, and not the turn signals too.  They can make one up that will do it all if that's what you want to do.

Great company and great products.
