Anyone using the Schuberth C3 flip up helmet with a J&M audio installed in it? Is so, what do you like and dislike about it? Thanks!

It's one of the quietest helmets on the market, bar none.  Especially for a Flip Up.  The one thing that kept me from getting one was that it does not have the internal sun visor like most of the current Flip Up helmets.  That's a really nice feature...no need for sunglasses.  The C3 is one of THE best helmets on the market though.  Pricey...

You might also take a look at the new Nolan N-104.

Not on a Schuberth, but I've used the J&M headsets on other helmets and been very satisfied with their performance.

I got a Shark Evoline 2, but it's different than most and slightly on the heavy end of the spectrum.

I stand corrected...don't know what I was thinking about.  One of the helmets I was considering a few months ago was good in every way, except that.  I'm old and my memory is shot to hell.  Thanks for correcting me!

I purchased the C3 tried it could not get use to the fully enclosed feeling. It's a great helmet if you like full face helmets. I went back to the beanie.

I had one and sold it right away, I still have the C2. They seem better on non fairing bikes. I could not get used to it, I would always get a reverberation (thumping) sound on the Geezerglide and it seemed to amplify the exhaust noises.

I have tried a Nolan flip up and now a Shoei Qwest and have had the same problem with both (as you).  Could not ride with the visor closed.

I use a Arai 3/4 helmet with no noise what so ever.  Help me out here.

Bob...some of that noise is due to how the helmet fits around your neck and sides of your head.  The C3 is about THE quietest Flip helmet, and much of that is due to the sealing around the neck and the padding inside the helmet.

If you have a narrow head and are stuffing it into a helmet designed more for those with a round head, it makes a difference.  Since you like the Arai, and since they are one of the few helmet companies that make different shaped shells/interiors for their helmets, to fit different head shapes, I would look at the Webbikeworld review for your Arai and see what they say about head shape for that helmet, then try and see if there is a Flip Face with the same general shape.  I don't know why Arai has not developed a Flip style helmet.  When looking for most any product, Webbikeworld is one of the first places I check for reviews.  They do an excellent job.  They even did a review on Glare...

Bob...I think Revzilla has a fairly generous return policy on helmets...one of the best in the business, IMO.  Might be worth checking into further.

I love my Flip Up...it is particularly advantageous when you have on glasses.  I can't imagine ever wearing a half helmet again.  I do utilize the 3/4 function on the Shark from time to time though...it's a nice feature.  There are things I do not like about the Shark, but the functionality pluses outweigh any minor minuses.

Truth be told...we should all be wearing earplugs when riding.  I don't always, but do have a molded set I made from a mail order kit.  On long days, they do make a difference in fatigue levels.

I love my C-3. It's quiet and no buffeting. I do not have the speakers in it so can't comment on them.  Love the no fog visor though. Here in MN when it's cold and in the mountains I could not get it to fog up. I also ride a fair amount with the visor/front open and it's not a problem.

I have the C3 with the SRC system made by Cardio. Built in the collar. Once I went Schuberth I can't use anything else .

I too have ht Schuberth for both my wife and I along with the SRC collar and have enjoyed wearing it an will not go back to beanies or halfs.  Like the security of the helemt as for protection.  Yeah they are pricey and are made well.  But once you buy one and wear it, like other have said there is no turning back.  I enjoy the versatility of the flip up and the visor, along with the sun shield inside.  All in All it ihas bee na great helmet.

I too have a Shark Evo and it is heavy and I think it is extremely noisy. Anyone compare to this C3
