There's a fair amount of actually consequential people not being at all productive right now......   [smiley=drink.gif]

Amen, and I am on the phone to a site member productively talking about his new motorcycle choice.  You're absolutely right, it's all in the outlook  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] .

Actually 2Lane....I'm being quite productive right now and definately stimulating the national economy by working on my laptop poolside.  Multi-tasking at its' finest....trading a couple of stocks, placing futures on several commodities, shipping a bike to the left coast, ordering brisket from the meat market and invoicing anyone who might possibly owe me money.  See.....productive while simultaneously keeping my eye on the site to assure you're not talking about me.....  [smiley=nervous.gif]  Don't show my boss this,  but actually from 130 till now, I was logged on, but I built a web site, built 20 web pages, formatted 320 pictures for the web, sent out 20 emails and am on a conference call.  I am very productive.   ;D

It sounds like you guys are doing things you enjoy while being productive all at the same time.  I got off the phone with the site buddy reveling in his new (old) bike and got right back on to calls that are mind numbingly boring and more than moderately annoying.  At least I can do this at the same time (thank god for headsets).

Nope, letting the cookie keep your password won't show you as present on the site.  You (or at least a browser Window working on your behalf) actually needs to be present and accounted for.

Heh, I'm a FF in the 21st Century. You don't think we still sit around the station all day playing checkers waiting on calls do you. ;D Besides we have to have lunch sometime, and that's good time to check on things here.

Me?  I just do things that interest me.  If it doesn't interest me, I delegate it to one of my Managers, with the assurance, "Your department did an outstanding job last month!  We appreciate it, too!  Now, you know I would never ask you to do something that I wouldn't do myself, but I am confident, you can handle this little task I have for you."    Later--HUBBARD

OK, so my wife says they put in some new tracking software at work and one of her fellow managers got called down to HR and told that her employee was on the internet yesterday for 7 hours (actively).

So she talked with him and an hour later he resigned.  Said he thought he'd pursue his other business.  Sounds to me like he had been, but now he's only getting paid by his clients and not by the company.  Good work if you can get it.

Imagine how many hours our employees flush down the toilet each day.

Certainly a case of do as I say not as I do in my case [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Don't see D00d right now though.  Perhaps the D00d-erator is on D00dy?  If so, be safe D00d!
