Popping through exhaust upon engine breaking
« on: April 18, 2012, 09:28:45 PM »

:orange: I'm getting popping through exhaust when I engine brake, especially from low speeds.  I have a Seeg with a sert and rinehart true duals.  I read somewhere that it could happen because true duals don't have a crossover pipe, but I also read in the cvo forum that it could indicate a manifold leak of some type.  Any ideas? :orange:

Could be intake manifold leak at the heads...  Could be an exhaust leak...  Could be rich or lean...  Lots of potential causes.  Check the easy stuff first (air leaks)   :2vrolijk_21:

My brother has a 103 Street Glide with the Reinhart True Duals, their 4" slip-ons and a the HD tuner. He has no popping at all. The guy who did his tune is very good and spends a lot of time tweaking every detail.

Follow sandunbar's comment. Lots of potental causes
