More to follow, go to go to work now & yes it's raining again ! Have to say though was a very moving road trip & makes you realize how lucky we are & never forget the sacrifices those guys made.
Whilst at the museum at Pegasus Bridge we were given a presentation by a French lady who told us about the story of when the British Airbourne Gliders arrived to take the bridge in the early hours of 6th June, the 2 German sentries that were on the bridge hid in a manhole for 24hrs, one of the sentries came back to Pegasus Bridge 2 years ago & met the 1st glider pilot who landed there & they both stood on the bridge & shook hands. Amazing after all that time, but also re-iterates the fact that these guys were just following orders, whichever side they were fighting for.
