CB,Nav out, thanks
« on: May 06, 2012, 05:34:15 PM »

I have just washed my bike and took it for a ride, the local radio works but when I push the buttons for Nav or CB the screen says CB ( or Nav) not installed see dealer,
also my serous radio is not working
I have the bike for three years no trouble with CB or Nav, is there a separate fuse for these items, any help would be great as  :(I have a long ride to make in a week and I need the CB

all fixed thanks to lot

anzac,  Check the all the fuses for any moisture that may have gotten in there from washing your bike. Also you could try pulling your main fuse ( with the ignition off of course) and reinstall it. Maybe that will get things back to normal. Also try blowing some compressed air, not too much pressure, in any area's you suspect might be the cause of your problem. I am just throwing things out there, but since this happened right after you washed your bike it must be a moisture issue. I am sure some of the more talented members will chime in with better ideas, or maybe this already happened to someone else. I have been thru several nasty rain storms on vacation, and always wash my bike down pretty good and so far so good, but I do not have nav and I have never tried my CB. Lastly maybe just wait a day for any moisture that could have got someplace where it should not be and it could dry up and cure itself. I hope it does. Good Luck CAHDBIKER

My aux and CD went wacky one time last year in a pouring rain. After sitting over night it all worked fine again.

Don't you know that Harley's aren't meant to be ridden in wet weather?   :huepfenlol2: ;)  Seriously, I'd probably reset everything by pulling the main fuse and see if that helps, and if not, take a hair dryer on low heat and blow into areas suspected of harboring moisture.
