SHIFTER LINKAGE
« on: May 13, 2012, 12:32:03 PM »

hello everybody...

just a quick question about the shifter linkage. i have an '02 ultra that i will be selling shortly. i want to remove the "skull" heim joint linkage and transfer to my '05 SEEG2. i measured center to center between the two bikes, and they are very close. within 1/16".

so is there any special method other than to unbolt each one and transfer to each bike? it  looks pretty straight forward, and assume no special tools are required. loosen and remove the nut from the front side of each hiem joint>?

thanks in advance.

The return spring should not be overlooked, very important step!  ;D

Also check that the flux capacitor is still within limits.
