FARING ACCESSORY FOR CUSE/BADGE, PINSTRIPE, DECAL

It seems to me that the area of the faring between the headlight and the windshield just needs something.

A picture of JR's bike (and JR) for reference:

He also has these on the rear of his saddlebags to carry the theme.

Otophile also has some sort of "badge" on his faring. See picture under "finally got picture" post.

I've sent JR a PM for more info on his badge and how it is attached.  I've thought that a pin stripe pattern on the faring would look great.  You could use black and the reds as in the graphics on the bike and I think it would look really good.

The only pin striping that I've had done was on my V-Rod and it's under the clearcoat.  I see folks doing striping at various events, but I don't know how it holds up with time (weather, bugs, etc.)  Any opinions?

Phaze

I went with the Bar and Shield with Wings on the front fairing and back of saddle bags. I personally like the look. It is held on with adhesive backing that comes on back of medallion. Here is a link to harley site of the one I have. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442292255&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309077747&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309077747&bmUID=1154234205379&bmLocale=en_US

TwoLane has this one on his tour pak. http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/gma_product.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442292249&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374309077747&ASSORTMENT%3C%3East_id=2534374309077747&bmUID=1154234680692&bmLocale=en_US

Nice accents at a reasonable price. Check out the rest of decorative medallions to see which one suits your fancey! Good Luck and God Bless!

Thanks for the info.  I'll check out the medallions.  I would think that anything put on with adhesive backing could be removed (with a change of heart later).

I may do a little pin striping research too.  A little pattern with something matching on the top of the front fender would look good (I think).  I wonder how permanent it would be and I also would like to know how much trouble it would be to remove if I had a change of heart in the future.  My guess is that it would be like a tatoo.  You better be sure it's what you want before you have it applied.

I can probably do some pin striping research out at Sturgis.  They'll probably be someone set up at Black Hills HD, in Sturgis, Custer or somewhere else along the way.
