Cam upgrade 88cu.in.
« on: May 16, 2012, 03:11:40 PM »

OK..besides my '10 FLSTSE, I own a '03 100th anniversary Road King Classic with 28k miles. I've got a friend with the same bike with 36k miles. He's got some noise coming from the timing chain. His solution is to replace the cam chain tensioners. I'm thinking the new HD cam plate/chain/sprocket/oil pump/ hydrolic tensioners upgrade kit. My question is what can upgrade is good in this situation. She's a good ole bike and has given me great service. I want a little more pop without sacrificing reliability.

After the cam upgrade, I'm gonna open her up with exhaust/intake upgrade with a TTS mastertuner.

IIRC, Andrews has a hybrid kit to get what you want, including cams of your choice. I pieced together the harley kit for the same results.
Check out the Andrews web site.
