Exhaust
« on: May 20, 2012, 04:44:32 PM »

I have been wanting to get new exhaust for my 2012 SEEG and have several ideas and would like to know if anyone has changed to the new CFR, Rhinehearts or actual Screaming eagle exhaust? I would like to stick with the 4" exhaust, I have Screaming eagle slip ons on my 04 Dyna Wide glide and love the sound, I would like to mimic that or close. I don't want to be the guy that noone wants to ride behind.

X3 on Fullsac....I have their headpipe and very happy with it.....their muffler baffles were a bit too quiet for me so I went with Rinehart slip-ons.

napalm, thank you for the advice, I am planning on sitting at the harley dealer and just listening to exhaust. I am worried about buying something and not being completely happy with it. So far I like the sound of the Rhineharts and have been looking at the fullsac phase 1 kit. Not really sure yet and have to wait to sell the other bike to get all of my upgrades that I want anyway. Again thanks for the response.

Denis, I really like the look of the CFR's and I am just hoping that they are not too loud. I don't want an exhaust that other riders don't want to ride behind me. I really need to listen to more bikes to find out the exact sound that I want. Though I thank you for your response.

Fuelmoto head pipe with full sac 2" inserts in my stock mufflers worked well for me. Loud but not to loud. I left the packing material out also. I pull a trailer on long trips and didn't,t want anything super loud but I wanted it louder than stock, this combo has been perfect so far. Good sound under power but not to loud cruising. I also just had it tuned on a dyno with a tts. Nothing else has been done (yet) and I got 92.5 rwhp and 115.9 rwtq on a super flow windyn dyno machine.  I,m pretty happy with that so far :2vrolijk_21:

I'm fulsac all the way.  2" cores.   Sound is just right.  Looks great too and I can hear the radio easily at 80 mph.

Most of the responses have been favorable for the fullsac phase 1 with 2" baffles. Then it differs from rhinehart, v&H or for your stock pipes. I am difinitely going with the fullsac and not sure yet about the pipes themselves. Thank you for all of the responses and input.

On my '12 SEUC I got the Fullsac X pipe and for mufflers the SE Fatshotz from HD.
Those are made by Supertrapp for Harley and are totally adjustable with the disc system.
They feature a free flowing 2.5" core and come with 10 discs and an open cap of 1 1/4". They have a deep mellow tone but it's a bit too quiet as delivered. You can add discs for more sound, but I cut the end cap for a 2" opening and it now has a louder tone to my liking.
