Scary stuff!.   :nervous:

Good to hear no one was seriously hurt.  You always have to watch out for us Missouri drivers, you never know when just the sight of Kansas plates will make us lose our minds.   :cucumber:

 :(
Really miss having the old scooter.

On a happier note, the kid does have insurance.  Just need to wait to see what the insurance company offers me for the Road King.

Thank you for your comments.

You cn thank the LORD Jesus Christ that you walked away from it. A second or two later getting off the bike would not have been good for you.  Like they said the bike can be replaced. I see the old bike was a EVO. 134k miles? Was the motor stock 80" still using stock cam and lifters? Original lifters? Was the motor ever rebuilt? Curious. I know the EVO motors last longer than the TC. TC lifters replaces every 25k miles? A Rode King would be a TC. Let us know what you get and how you like it compared to the old bike.
The new bikes are pretty and got alot of neat stuff but I am a BIG  EVO man with a carb.

Dang Kansas...just saw this story.  So glad you weren't on your scoot when the kid hit the bike.  He must have been traveling way beyond his skill level when he swerved to miss the truck.  I'd bet over the speed limit; or even with a poorly equipped car.

Hopefully the insurance company doesn't cheap out on you and give you a low ball price.  Most likely their first offer will not be enough, so I'd push back if you're not satisfied with it.

Best of luck finding a decent replacement!
