Extra connector behind fairing

I was curious if anyone knew what the extra connector is for.  This is the best pic I could get

Saw that same plug when I added a Zumo to my 2011.  Ended up just making a Y connector using the nano/amp connector as the power lead so there is only 1 plug when taking the fairing off.  Am curious too.

I don't know about Softails but Touring bikes have an extra connector for what are called Position Lamp(s) for International models. It's a small 5w bulb that goes inside the headlamp housing. If you have the Parts manual it would show in there.

Is this a connector other than the one that connect the speakers on the windshield ?

Yes it is different.  It has one black and one white wire.
