Riding day 12:  Much sunnier in Memphis.  Mostly above 100 deg with a bunch of good ole Arkansas and Oklahoma humidity :'(  But had to wipe Fat Elvis down first.

Some of the Arkansas landscape.  I-40 does not do Arkansas much justice.  Not like the NW corner of the state.

And this is where Carrie Underwood lives, American Idol 2005.  On her disc she has a song that she wrote about Checotah, OK.  Something about a one-stop-light-town.  So here's the stoplight.  No kidding :D

Riding Day 13/14:  No pix since this is a backtrack of our second and third eastbound riding day through western OK, TX, NM, and AZ.  But I want to post a couple pix from our stop at the Grand Canyon.  Which is technically Riding Day 15:

Here's a mule deer eating out of a tree with about 10 cars stopped on both sides of the road.  With that many of us taking pix of the buck he still didn't care we were there.

Some more of the local Grand Canyon wildlife.  About 15 yards from the edge of the road.

The next 3 are a big surprise.  We saw these Elk feeding in a meadow behind a neighborhood outside the GC front gate.

Check out the jacka$$ walking up on a wild Elk, doing the whole crockadile hunter routine.
