Fullsac Install
« on: May 31, 2012, 12:46:48 AM »

Looking for some recommendations here. I determined that I wanted to go with the Fullsac Stage 1 and 2 on my CUSE7 based off of the comments from this site and contacted a dealer in Denver to conduct the install and was told they wouldn't support.

"Due to a warranty issue we are not willing to install the parts form Fullsac. H-D does not allow us to core mufflers even if there is a new baffle being installed. It is our service department's policy that we do not install aftermarket tuning systems, because of the warranty of motorcycle could be voided."

Has anyone else had similar issues, and for those with the Fullsac, what route did you guys take to get them on your bike?

I bet if you were buying Screamin" Eagle aftermarket parts that you were purchasing thru this particular dealer, they'd gladly install and support.

X2...Ask them if they would install an exhaust system that they normally sell, and would that be covered under warranty, and if so, what the difference is.  I can somewhat understand about the TTS because they want to sell you the SEPRT, even though the SERT used to be built by the same folks, and the newer version (TTS) is virtually the same thing with added features not available on the SEPRT.

This kind of stuff is a dealer by dealer type thing...find another dealer.

Or better yet, put the Stage I on yourself, hook up a laptop with the TTS and upload one of Steve's canned maps.  Save a few hundred dollars for about 4-6 hours of your own time.

I didn't even involve the dealer. Purchased everything directly from Fullsac and did the install in my garage. It took me about an hour to remove/replace the baffles, took about another hour to remove the stock exhaust and install the new system - then about ten minutes to save the stock map and load the new one from Steve using the TTS.

I have had my dealer install aftermarket stuff like S&S gear drive, and full V&H exhaust systems on my other bikes during the HD warranty period without issue - I don't have any extended warranty to worry about getting voided.

I would inquire at other dealers about warranty support, especially if you do have an extended warranty.

I asked my dealer about the warranty if I went with the stage II fullsac kit and he said no problem with the warranty. I was told today that a couple that had moved here from Co a few weeks ago found out they carried Fullsac and asked how they could sell what they couldn't warranty....they were really surprised to find out that not all dealerships are created the same.

Had bike on the dyno today, first opening they had since I installed the stage II. Great combo and very pleased

Interesting thread.... My dealer has just hooked up with Fullsac so they can offer customers a discount, so I believe that they are also installing them, so I believe this to be a dealer by dealer issue.  :nixweiss:

Great responses, I really appreciate the feedback. Does anyone know of any dealers in the CO area that are willing to do an install? I'm still stuck over here in Afghanistan and wanted the Fullsac installed by the time I got home so I can take off and ride instead of busting my knuckles trying to do an install.
Again, thanks for the responses,

Ryan
