There are many places where I have traveled - especially is less developed or poorer countries where there is often the whole family on a small bike, with all sorts of riggings to carry consumables, or even some livestock on the scooter.  Even scarier is that a two lane road will have about 5 lanes of bikes weaving in and out of regular vehicles.

That was obviously not the case for the traffic situation, but scary nevertheless.

In India that would've been only partially loaded; and the guy in the back would've had the rope to a trailer around his waist.  Don't even begin to think I'm making that scene up either....
