Looks well built. I'd be interested if I didn't already have a 660 and a 665.

I have been waiting for something new.
I hear too many problems from folks here with 660s and 665s.
And at the cost of the 665 and 660 in my opinion they should be flawless.
Then there is the fact that with my smartphone I never use the Garmin I have for my cars as the phone is just easier to use.
When they come out with the weatherproof/waterproof smartphone it will be all over for Garmin selling motorcycle specific GPS's at 5 to 9 times the price of a similar car unit.

No MP3, no XM, no deal.

If it's not compatible with Mapsource that's another deal-breaker.  Basecrap is a pos!

...and the wait continues...

Image of rear of unit from the Garmin website.  Rear unit connections entirely different than than Zumo 650 or 660.

It looks sorta tiny, which is the same problem with a phone.  The size of the 660 is more motorcycle/glove-friendly.

Look for  Iphone 5's to be waterproof

Haven't seen this news but; dropped my Iphone 1 in the jacuzzi shortly after I got it, I just put it in a bag of uncooked rice overnight to get it working again.

I think that was like 4-5 years ago. I handed it down 2 years ago when I got my 4 and it is still working to this day, so I think their almost there with it being water proof....lol

btw my dont see this being better than the 665-660, I love my 665

It's amazing that Garmin doesn't make all the applications available that are on the MicroSoft chip. My 5" China "Cheap Garmin Clone" has MP4, MP3, ebooks, bluetooth, maps of US, Canada with free upgrades forever, excel, powerpoint...for 90.00.  I just put a freezer bag over the unit if its raining. I thinking smart phones will be the end of Garmin also. I'm amazed Harley is still so far behind, they need need to bundle a media center and get into the real world...CB's and dedicated GPS's, you have to be kidding.  Doc

Good point, probably would double the price to $400 below the Garmin.  :P
