Man, I want to throught my computer through the wall right now  :soapbox: All I want to do is modify my speedo settings. I don't get it. I can go into the save/restore screen and it see's my bike. I even saved my modified tune along with my stock tune. when I open the File drop down nothing is selectable except the save/restore and load tuning file. I don't have the tuning file, I didn't tune it. I must be missing something........ ARGH!!!!! Somebody help a brother out PLEASE!!! Isn't there an easy way to modify the existing tune?

you probably have the wrong ending on the file like .mt7 or .mt8

when you look to load the file load the appropriate .mt 7/8 file.

when you reload the file you can change the setting for the wheel size during the loading of the file into the ECM.   turn on the compression releases then do the tire size that is appropriate.

so there is no way to modify the existing file without loading it again? I did not get a copy of the tune from the tuner, so what do I load?

I saved the file via the Save/Restore, do I want to restore with that? I don't want to screw up my tune.

Sorry, you can't edit the MTE file.   You would either need to get the tune map from the tuner that is for your bike so you could reload it, or get another tune where this was set and the map they made was given to you.   FWIW  when ever you load the MTE file it is going to put back in the settings that were in the ECM when the file was made.

Hope the tuner also gave you a copy of the MTE file for the bike as it came from the showroom floor.

well that is lame!! I had it tuned like 8 months ago, so unless the tuner has my tune on file, and will give it to me, there is no way to modify the speedo settings........ WTF!!

Yep you got it.  Maybe take the bike to him and see if he has the map or can help.   They say that there is no way to open a MTE file and edit it, so your above statement pretty much holds true in this case.   If you happen to find someone besides Steve Cole that can open and edit please please let me know who it is.

Glad it now makes sense now even though its not what you wanted.  Hope you get it worked out without having to pay for a whole new tune.
