Yeap - I made one - with one connector into the harness and 2 sockets - one for the rear lights and the other for the trailer wiring - It helped that I could get the connector shells and pins for nothing from work... (and the Tyco crimp tool...)

Works just fine and avoids cutting into the harness

Cheers

Dave

Don't forget to add one of these as well

Be careful to put a trailer...You would have problems in your warranty if you get transmiison problems.....Sometimes MoCo is very strict when this happens....

Ride Safe.

Jorge

That's why you put it on so it can be eaisly removed! In the Highly unlikely event that pulling my extra cloths would effect the delicate driveline. Just like if you have a drive belt issue they always suspect that you where are Daytona doing whheelies and burn outs warranty denied :)

You should not live your life in Fear of the MOCO anything you do to

My dealer say if I'm on the road and it die and a local shop won't fix it get it home (uhaul) and they would take care of it.  I aslo have it wired so in 5 minutes I can have the wiring removed so that just my flag pole stand is left on the rear of the bike.  Let them prove I pulled a trailer.

I have an American Legend trailer that has over 10,000 miles on it.
Never had any transmission troubles.

I got all the parts together this week, The Hitch from Bushtech includes a wiring harness & an Wiring Isolator a Chrome Hitch pin and a Ball lock (that's what I need for my Bushtech trailer) They have a Hitch with a ball if you need it just tell'em when you & if you order it.

They also Have the V rail rear fender trim that replaces the HD fender brace under thw rear fender.

The Hitch is Black Powder coated two Fender Struts and Bolt to the Reciver all orginial Hardware is replaced with Grade 8 Bolts and blue locktigth.

The Installation instructions are very complete, That's why I did not do a complete write up All you need to do is remove the Saddle bags and the Seat (Which most everyone here can and has done. Bolt up the hitch and connect the wiring.

I was able to connect all the Wiring Before Disconnecting the -Battery lead Then The + Battery Lead Which was the Most difficult part of the install. The HD BAttery is seated Down below the wiring harness  so I need to get VAZHOGETTE to help Wedge a insulated long flat blade screwdriver under the bottom of the battery while I pulled (Lifted) the BAttery (by the connected -battery lead) then pushing down on the Flatblade screwdriver under the bottom of the battery case I was able to lift the battery high enough to get a wrench on the -lead to get the screw completely out and then do the same with the + lead. That made connecting the rest of the stuff eaiser. I will explain that next,

I said eailer that I connected the Isolater and the trailer wiring harness together the Isolater has Four leads LT,RT,STOP,RUNNING it also has a BLACK- &  +Red with 30amp Fuse holder to connect to the HD Battery Remove the fuse before you connect it to the battery  ;)

I bought a part from J&P CYCles part is listed in an eailer post on this thread the connect inbetween the bikes rear wiring harness so I did no have to cut the oem wiring I had already connected the isolator to the J&P part so I clicked together .

NOW I was ready to connect all the + reds to the Still raised battery While I was in there I added two Gerbings hookups I rolled them up and tie wrap them under the left side cover so they will pull out when I need them. The Hook up for the battery tender (Which the Shop I bought mine from CUT the RING terminals and jammed them onto the BAttery terminals) MY Negitive cable was loose before I started theis project!  Then I hook all the - leads installed the 30 amp fuse the 15 amp fuses in the Gerbing Hookups, the 7.5 amps fuse for the battery tender and another 15 amp fuse for my trailer air suspension. All Fuses Held  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Hooked the trailer everything worked as designed then it was matter of folding all the extra wires the isolator into the battery box running a split loom around the wires from the J&P Cycle parts put the seat back on and off went to Costo for a store run round trip over anf through the mountains 125 miles.

MAggie valley here we come! Anyone needs more info or has any questions either post back here or PM me pictures follow [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

Wow, you went right by my place too. I'm a stones throw off 29. Let me know next time you heading this way we can meet for a [smiley=drink.gif] and burger. I know a great place right on 29 that has some really nice home-style burgers and real cold beer. You know the kind of burger when you bite into them grease runs all down your arm, and your doctor fusses at you when you have your cholesterol checked for eating that good food that is bad for your. I'm getting ready to do that on Wednesday, and like you I'm not at 100%. Told wife and kid today with the condition of my hip I can't squat down to do any heavy lifting so they had better be ready. On the bright side when I come back home from this I will have the empty nest syndrome going on. Can walk around in my boxers and don't have to worry about hearing from daughter "dad, that's disgusting, put your pants on". [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Come to think of it, I don't even have to have them on now; watch out wifey big daddy is home. [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
