Just confirmed by Harley the Streetglide is not available for 2013 as a CVO, along with the Softail Convertible. The Ultra and the Roadglide will continue for another year. So what 2 bikes do you think will fill the void. Some will be very surprised. LED headlights are standard on all new 2013 CVO's
This rumor has me thinking. I have a $5000. deposit on a 2013 SESG. I dropped into the dealership last week, just to chat, and one of the employees said, "Have you heard, they will not be making a 2013 SERG". I questioned him, so he called the owner, who was out of town at a Harley meeting. He got off the phone and acted very nervous and appologized to me, saying that he had made a mistake and that "it was another model that was not being offered. At the time I thought nothing of it, but now............................

I heard that ALL 2013 CVO's were going to be Twlight Blue and Stardust Silver as that was the best looking color combo the MOCO had ever offered :cherry:

I was in the same position back in May 2011, ordered a 2011 thinking a 2012 would not be offered, when my bike turned up in late July it was the wrong colour to what I had ordered so declined and rolled my deposit over to a 2012 just in case they become available. My luck 2012 was and I secured a fantastic bike. A true custom colour scheme.
Keep your deposit down on the SG but my gut feel tells me they will not return in 2013.

Sit tight, its only a couple of months away till they are revealed.

Dammit, if you're telling secrets at least do it completely.  Complete spec on the new 120R water cooled motor and bike combination has some limitations the average rider might not expect.  Can't ride farther than the length of garden hose being used to water cool the motor.

It's great for riding in circles though!

the original CVO program (an idea borrowed from the Ford SVO program) many years ago.

Which they borrowed from their own AVO programme of 1970 before that, as a matter of interest.

With the water cooled bikes make sure you use only the approved Screamin Eagle radiator fluid or you may void the warranty. Also if it leaks, that's OK they all do that...... :huepfenlol2:

Interestingly,  I have a friend in Chicago with a Sporty - he's definitely NOT a rumourmonger, but a fortnight ago, he emailed me this:

"On a side note, when I picked up the medallion at a HD dealer out of town they had a semitrailer from Harley with every bike they make for test rides. It was crazy!
There was a big water cooled bagger thet I've never seen before? It was ugly (the bike) and the place was so crowded, I've never seen anything like it."

Make of that what you will........

You forgot to mention that MOCO is also rolling the prices back to 1969 levels and that there is a buy back guarantee for 1 year or 20,000 miles whichever comes first

DANG! I had heard 26" rims on the 2013 CVOs...

But I also heard they are going with a liquid-cooled V4 for 2013... so they can finally get their money back on Project Nova!

WOW. Lots of dialogue on this topic. Just no proof.  While HarlyFan claims to be an employee, I agree with several of you that we always hear that without substantiation.  Ronald Regan once said trust but verify.  I am in that camp. I don't post here often, just when the new model year topics get rolling down the information highway.  Otherwise I like rollling down the highway on my cycle.

So what it is HarlyFan? You really an employee in the know or just another poser? My money is on the pool boy coming through with good data.

About five to six years ago when I was in Sturgis at the HD Centre, I met a few HD Milwaukee Factory Employees and I mentioned the CVO Website, they all mentioned that some are site members, however do not identify themselves as being HD employees they do visit quite often, when I asked if they posted on the site they all answered "no" it would be against corporate policy.

We know that they do visit the site as a few years ago, I forgot the gentlemen's name (Paul I think) from their HD Marketing posted on the website that they would like the opportunity to get together with members of the CVO website in during the Rally in Sturgis, he set up a meet with us in Rapid City, SD at the "Fire Hall" and approx. 12 - 15 CVO Website members showed up and had civil drinks and snacks. HD had design engineers and marketing people etc. and I also met one of them again at the Canadian HOG Rally in Calgary, they rode from Sturgis to Vancouver over to Calgary and back to Milwaukee. They all listened, what got back to the MOCO is hard to say.
