Fairing Foul-up

Like the guy said "sometime you eat the bear and sometime the bear eats you". Trying to take delivery of an o7 next week. So I had to spend the day pulling all the electronic crap off the cuse, bluetooth ,xm, nav, a bunch of lights cables etc. I get all the stuff off. Had to pull pins on some connectors to pull the cables out. Those multi lock ones are a pain. So I button her back up  and proceed to drop the little screw at the bottom of fairing and spend an hour with a magnet to fish it out .(that's what I get for trying to work without a net) Well now it's buttoned up . I sit down fire up a smoke trying to figure out what's on tommorrow's agenda. Then I realize that I pulled the nav antenna but left the nav module installed. So now tommorw's agenda is set. I get to pull the fairing apart again. I'd fire myself but I work too cheap. [smiley=drink.gif]

Been there too, Jerry.  Trying to remove as much as possible that won't get you a better price anyway.  But don't ya know, after riding the bike for a while you seem to forget some of the custom things you put on 'cause they've been there so long.   Later, it's "Aw, MAN... I forgot to pull off the. . ." [smiley=thinking.gif]

Those little screws can find the darnest places to hide can't they?  Been there, done that.  As brother Bill would say, "I feel you pain."  Congrats on the new ride and post some pix when you get it.

Thanks. All the electronics went in the 07 without any issue. I plan on setting the bike up using
some of the CVO trim that I enjoyed in the past. It will be like a CVO wannabe. I'll get a picture soon. :)
