Rear LED failed for the fourth time
« on: June 22, 2012, 04:38:08 AM »

Just back from a 3100 miles trip to cascais Portugal in 75% rain and the rear indicator / brake light filled up with water and failed yet again, this is the fourth one I have fitted and they have all been left hand side anyone else had this problem and it's not possible to carry a spare as requested by the French police.

Also another problem encountered in heavy rain is the engine spluttering when opening the throttle wide, even with the rain cover on the air filter?

Since the rain the bike is now possible to start with the side stand down and in gear?

Apart from that It performed very well and mainly done on A roads at 65- 70 mph achieving approx 160 - 170 miles on a tank until the light came on. But on the motorway at higher speeds at 75-80 mph it was 135 miles before the light came on.

I also have a 2011, did not come with LEDs from the factory so I used some from custom dynamic.... 6500 miles later and they still look good as new and no problems
