The dealer did the installation when my bike went in for it's first service.  Security system and everything else works just the same as before.  The only noticeable difference to me is that when the directional signals are blinking, they blink a bit faster.  From the paperwork there appears to be a Light kit as well as the bulbs.  As I mentioned, my receipt did not provide a part number for the light kit.  To verify everything I would recommend speaking to either a parts manager or service manager at your dealer.  All I can say is that they look and work great and were purchased and installed at my HD dealer.

Hope this helps..

I picked up one with a nice discount at my dealer this past weekend.  I tried to install it, but for the life of me could not figure out how this thing went in and STAYED in.  Every bike I have had has a second set of screws that holds the headlight in, then the trim ring.  It appears with our bikes, the trim ring holds in everything.  I hope the engineers know what they are doing, because it does not look that secure.

The light is much brighter and the range of light is much wider.  However, there are visible dark areas where the beams do not come together seamlessly.  It's not a bad thing, but is different than a conventional bulb.  I like the idea that it will not burn out and leave me stranded on the side of the road at night.  Unless of course, I am by a farmers house with a young daughter...
