New guy wants a CVO
« on: July 04, 2012, 02:37:35 PM »

Currently own a 2001 Fatboy that is a beautiful bike, but a 2007 Screaming Eagle Dyna has caught my eye...
I started trying to read up about the issues with this bike and discovered this forum!!!
Man, there is some issues though, what about people that have owned one for a while, are they out there and affordable because the bike has continuos engine problems??? Any comments are greatly appreciated.

There was a lot of issues with the 07's, I have an 08 and have never had any problem ( It is for sale ). My personal opinion is the 08's are better looking bikes. Wheels, paint schemes, new speedo location, readable tach, ect. I may be biased.  :nixweiss:

There were a lot of issues with the '07 110 touring bikes - I don't remember issues with the '07 110 Dyna's (although if there were, I'm sure someone will chime in and mention them...)  The significant issue in the '07 110 Touring bikes was with head gasket failure and cylinder liner movement...

Oh yea...go for the 2007 CVO Dyna, I love mine.  Yes it had a rear cylinder head gasket recall, but once fixed I have had no problems. 45K now and I couldnt part with this bike even after I picked up a 2012 RG.

Welcome to CVO Harley from San Jose, CA!  I have an '07 and have ridden it about 8000K since last August with no problems whatsoever.  You'll never know if you don't go for it!

Just check and make sure the recalls have been taken care of.  I believe you can check this by running the vin on the HD website.  It will also let you know of any other major work done at any dealership.

Good luck!  These are great bikes.
