Looking for good mechanic(tuner) in Houston, Texas
« on: July 05, 2012, 10:34:44 PM »

I am looking for a good mechanic that knows the thundermax. I have a 2008 SERK and my bike is running kind of poor. I think I need it updated and re tuned. Have since changed my exhaust system since I had the T_Max put on. It didn't start immediately after the change but several months afterwards. Thanks

You might need a good technician who knows O2 sensors and their mounting in exhaust systems.  The ECM might be making wrong "corrections" based on poor information.  If the bike ran fine on whatever calibration you were running at the time you made the exhaust change, try putting it back to that same state if you can.  If the running improves, go back to my first sentence.

Well, I can tell you that the first exhaust was a supertrapp megaphone 2 into 1 and now I am running a supertrapp(paul yaffe) 2 into 1 phantom pipe with no baffle. Im hoping its just a matter of Re-Telling the system what type of pipe and and baffle system I am using and updating the software. Its been about a year since I made the switch. Thanks for the reply, good advise.
