Worked better than I thought...

I took a little ride ....to Louisiana on the scoot....1,100 miles in 14hrs...there ....and 1,100 miles back...


...I knew I would be bored on the long ride......so I figured...screw it...what could it hurt...






so I made this sign...worked better than I though it would....got more "participants" than I hoped for.....I was picky who I showed the sign to...but I still got to see about 15 sets...LOL


















Sorry...no pic's of "participants"......cruise set ...holding the sign in high winds...and looking for tata's was difficult enough...LOL LOL

Ummm, that's an average speed of 79 mph.  With at least 4 gas stops at 15 minutes each, my personal LD calculator says cruising speed in excess of 86mph.  How could you possibly be bored?  I thought I was a fairly hard core rider, but  :znotworthy:

Actually it was a bit faster than that...it was 1,085 miles...and i did it in just under 14hrs...

Roughly 200 miles per tank between stops...6 stops...so it's probably closer to an AVERAGE of 82-85mph...LOL :bananarock:


On this trip, I qualified for IBA Saddlesore 1000(Iron Butt Association)..
.....for the Saddlesore 1000, you have to ride 1000 miles in under 24hrs, I did it in 14, so I got it.



For anyone else that rides long distances... IBA - World's Toughest Motorcycle Riders
