The Alps (Swiss/French/Italian) RideReport
« on: July 11, 2012, 01:44:34 PM »

The Alps

at thursday 3 of june we (2 buddies and 1) started our
tour to cross over 100 Pässe/col/colle/pas/peaks in the
alps of switzerland, italy and france.

10 days with 1 day of relax and between 300-360km per
day. We had done this before in 2004, but now we drove
the other way round.

Only the 2nd day was rainy, foggy and misty until lunch,
afterwards we had everyday sunshine, but low temperature.
The bikes were a 2007 BMW 1150, a 2010 Victory Cross with TP
and my 2007 Buell Ulysses. The roads were small and twisty
and we couldn't count the switchbacks. But it was a terrific.

If someone wants do to the tour or a part of it, I posted
already the gps-routes under:

Still trying to view the pics/vids, I tried to post some daily examples
on google+, hope it works.

Man, that looks line an outstanding trip! Thanks for sharing. Doing the Rocky Mountains next month after Sturgis. Don't think we'll cross 100 passes but we will see some similar scenery.
